Portraits of Dangerous women (15) |Close-Up Film Review

Dir: Pascal Bergamin, UK 2024, 93 mins.

Cast: Tara Fitzgerald, Jenny Spark, Yasmin Monet Prince, Annette Badlands, Mark Lewis

Review by Carlie Newman

Disappointing British movie with good cast let down by minimal story and unreal dialogue.

When a dog is found dead in the road, three women, school teacher Steph (Jenny Spark), school caretaker Tina (Tara Fitzgerald) and young female artist, Ashley(Yasmin Monet Prince) are involved in hiding the dogs death from the police and other authorities.

Gradually, we learn something about their past histories as the three women gradually become friends. Not a lot happens after this, but the women’s background and their interaction is at times interesting.
