“Toy Story 5” stars Tom Hanks and Tim Allen – along with the ‘Toy Story’ characters, Woody, Buzz and Jessie – kickstarted the Soccer Aid 2026 game at London Stadium.
As part of the first stop of the global promotional tour the “Toy Story 5” film stars arrived at the game as a surprise, much to the delight of the stadium audience. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen were welcomed on to the pitch after the Woody, Buzz and Jessie characters found the otherwise missing ball, before handing the ball to the film stars and Soccer Aid’s co-hosts Dermo O’Leary and Alex Scott.
Disney collaborated with Soccer Aid, the world’s biggest charity football event, on a number of “Toy Story 5” activations this week including ‘Toy Story’ challenges as part of the training week, culminating in a heart-warming in-show moment live on ITV with a comedic 90” video that played ahead of the stars entering the pitch.
The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen), Jessie (voice of Joan Cusack) and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same? “Toy Story 5” is directed by Academy Award® winner Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris, produced by Lindsey Collins, p.g.a., and written by Stanton and Harris from a story by Stanton. The film features an original score by Oscar® winner Randy Newman, who returns to score his fifth “Toy Story” feature. “Toy Story 5” releases exclusively in cinemas June 19, 2026, with previews on June 18.
