Home after another drunken night, Patrick is surprised to be woken to visitors who tell him he has a daughter whose mother has just died from cancer . Patrick wants nothing to do with a child until he learns that payment is involved. He takes the four year-old child, Camilla (Victoria Scott) on but soon realises that he is not capable of looking after her. He decides to take her across country to live with her grand parents who want her.
Not having a car he talks his very difficult neighbour, Patrick, into driving them. The three of them go on a journey and gradually bond together. There are then major twists in this most satisfactory story.
Director Alexander Yellen manages to achieve an excellent comradeship between the disabled actors and young girl. The characters come across realistically and there is much humour in the film. It is certainly worth seeing.
