Women X Fest is 3 weeks away!

The 4th edition of the Women X Film Festival will run from 9-10 September 2023 at the Darlington Hippodrome.

Back for the fourth year they will be delivering alongside the film programme an exciting variety of workshops, panels, networking events, evening entertainment and our wellbeing zones.

The theme for this is year ‘Stories that bloom into films’ utilising the floral design as a symbol for the journey many writers take from their initial idea to a finished film!

Last year saw sold out screenings, a packed awards ceremony and a hive of activity as filmmakers and film lovers came together for a weekend of inspiration in the North.

This year we have come accredited by BIFA.

A very special guest is joining the festival this year, THE GRUFFALO is coming along for three special screenings for families, and they have some exciting activities to accompany the film for little ones along with a relaxed screening for neurodivergent families to enjoy.
