The Winners Were Announced For The Annual FIDOS Awards

The winners of the FIDOS (For Incredible Dogs On Screen) were announced today at London’s Chiswick Cinema. There are five categories: Blockbuster Bowser, Comedy Canine, Rom Com Rover, Historical Hound and Mutt Moment. From the winners in these sections an outstanding performance was chosen and named Best in World. Also awarded was FiDogManitarian, in honour of those who celebrate the bond between canines and the human race. 

Blockbuster Bowser

Winner: Cocaine Bear – Veteran police detective Bob’s adorable dog, Rosette, a Maltese.

Winner: The Banshees of Inisherin – Sammy the border collie dog, played by Morse.

FiDoManitarian 2023 winner: Kean Cao, founder of the upcoming International Animal Future Film Festival

FiDogManitarian is in honour of those who celebrate the bond between canines and the human race. 

The Chinese film event is called: Animal – Future – Eco Film Week

It is currently one of the few film events in the world that explores film from the perspective of animals. The aim of the festival is to encourage more filmmakers to make animal films in a harmonious and professional way, and in doing so to raise awareness of how humans should live in harmony with animals in the future.
