Hard Truths in Cinemas January 2025

Mike Leigh’s HARD TRUTHS will open across the UK and Ireland on January 31, through STUDIOCANAL.

Set in London, Leigh’s new film explores family relationships in the post-pandemic world. The film stars Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Secrets & Lies, Without a Trace) and Michele Austin (Secrets & Lies, Another Year), who reunite with Leigh, after earlier collaborations on stage and screen.

Both have been nominated for this year’s British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) for Best Lead Performance and Best Supporting Performance, respectively.

HARD TRUTHS had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, followed by screenings at the San Sebastian Film Festival, New York Film Festival on and BFI London Film Festival.
