In Cinemas Now: I Am Greta

The rise of unlikely climate activist Greta Thunberg is presented in Nathan Grossman’s slick new documentary, following the Swedish teenager as she has to deal with patronising politicians looking for photo ops.

You won’t learn much about Thunberg the person, but perhaps that’s to be expected – for Thunberg, everything is about the message, not the person delivering it.

That doesn’t make for a very gripping film, but it does make for an important one, and Grossman’s cameras have been with Greta ever since she first sat outside Stockholm parliament, unaware of the intense scrutiny about to engulf her life.
